Five Glasses, Designed Above an Old Dairy

The Flono Pub Co. began in 2024, in a small studio above an old dairy on Stephen Road, Headington — just outside Oxford city centre. Like most good ideas, it started with a question: why are the glasses in our pubs better than the ones in our kitchens?

We set out to fix that. Today, we design five British pub glasses — a Classic Pint, a Half Pint, a Dimple Mug, a Tulip Glass, and a Brass-Handled Glass Tankard. Each one is drawn and refined in our Oxford studio, then produced by independent UK glassmakers and Sheffield-based pewter workshops who have been shaping British drinking vessels for generations.

We don’t sell mugs in twelve different colours, or gimmicky novelty pieces, or anything we wouldn’t pour our own pint into. We make five glasses, properly. And we make them to outlive their first toast — built for the slow Sunday afternoons, the Friday-night welcomes, and the quiet milestones worth raising a glass to.

Our glasses aren’t made in a Flono factory — there isn’t one. We’re a small Oxford-based design studio, and we work directly with independent UK glassmakers and Sheffield pewter workshops who have spent decades shaping British drinking vessels. The hands you see in our story photos belong to them — the craftsmen behind every Flono glass.

Designed in Oxford. Made in the UK. Built to outlive their first toast — and most of the second.

WHAT WE PROMISE

Three Things We Stand By

01.

Glasses Worth the Cabinet

We will only ever sell glasses we'd happily keep in our own kitchen. If we wouldn't pour into it, we won't ask you to. Five glasses, properly chosen — never twelve, never gimmicky, never "just for the catalogue."

02.

Honest Provenance

Every Flono glass is designed in our Oxford studio and produced by independent UK glassmakers and Sheffield pewter workshops. No mass-production. No "designed in the UK, made overseas" tricks. Just British glass, British metalwork, properly traced.

03.

Built to Outlive the Toast

Heavy bases. Considered weight. Hand-finished edges. We don't make glasses for one season — we make glasses you'll pass on, with stories worth telling about every chip and every celebration.
